In addition to cutting down the shop’s carbon footprint as much as possible, there are also recycling schemes that happen in the shop!
Natural for Baby has a Bra Bank, please bring in bras that are new and no longer fit or are falling apart, it’s a collection for a charity called Against Breast Cancer.
Natural for Baby is the local drop off for the Terracycle scheme for Ella’s Kitchen pouches. Any brand of the baby food pouches can be dropped off for recycling, but please bring the pouches in WASHED, you can cut them open if needed, but this is essential to keep the shop nice and clean. They’re recycled for charity too! This time First Touch gets a donation twice a year, they’re the charity who support out local neonatal unit at St George’s Hospital.
Last, but not least, Natural for Baby is also a drop off location for the Hygiene Bank. Please bring in items you buy to donate or unwanted gifts of a hygiene nature – toothbrushes, deodorant, shower gel, shampoo etc. The items dropped off are then distributed to local people who need them. The rule is that if the items are nice enough that you would pass them to a friend, then they’re nice enough to be dropped off.
